Go ahead. Should be no problem. I used a 6’ bush hog behind mine this past summer while my Ford was down. It didn’t seem to mind as long as I didn‘t go crazy with it. I gotta say, I prefer 3 pt mowers over that pull behind one though.

I have a woods mower like that and it turns pretty easily. With only 19 PTO horse power 6 foot is going to be pushing the rule of 5 hp per foot. I would check the weight of the mower. It is old and heavy. I would not want you to get into trouble on a hill and have it push the tractor around

I'd look for a 3PH model instead of the drag along, you might have PTO shaft issues if you have any kind of hills. Turning radius may be an issue for you too.

That should be a 80" cut not 72". It should run it if you go slow and I don't think you will have any issues pulling a tow behind vs. a 3pt cutter. Just remember this is intended for lighter material than most single spindle cutters are.

Look it over well as parts may be harder to come by. That style gearbox is obsolete.

i already own it. It used to go behind a farmall h which has a lower HP rating than the Kubota. I only plan to use for mowing the meadow. I have a 4’ rough cut for the heavy stuff

Sorry but a B2601 does not near the same PTO HP as a good Farmall H. But it should mow grass OK if you go slow enough

The B2601 is claimed at 19.5 @ I believe. The H should be about 26 if tuned and running well.

The H is about 26 at the belt. I didn't see a rating for the PTO but I think that the PTO runs close to WOT .With the H making its power around 1700 RPM it has a lot of torque and can act like it has more power than it does. It also has a huge flywheel that can get you through a tough spot.
