Now that the LX3310 is ordered I'm looking at flail mowers. The WoodMaxx FM-62H seems to be a well build unit and I would like to hear from anyone who has this mower to see what you think about it. I would be buying a mower with the hammers and the WoodMaxx hammers look very rugged. I don't want to buy a mower made in China but if anyone has other brands they recommend, I'd like to hear from you also.

I have one, but non-hydraulic and with “Y” blades. I use it behind my B2650 and it’s fantastic! I mow my 2 acre field with it, and it never disappoints. I live in western Oregon, where the state tree should have been the Himalayan Blackberry. The flail with Y blades absolutely destroys the blackberries.
I was fortunate to find mine used, or I was looking at a new one with hammers. After having the Y blades for my grass and brush, I don’t know that I’d take the hammers. Maybe if I were chopping heavier woody brush, but not for what I’ve got.

A friend just bought a piece of land and has an LX2610. He was looking at getting a 48” flail because he was concerned about PTO power. I hauled my tractor and mower over to his place last Sunday for a demo. He ordered the 62” with Y’s on Monday...

Well, I have the china brand from BETSCO and it's been great so far. If I'm not mistaken, the woodmax units are made overseas as well.

Perhaps, check out messicks. I saw a youtube video recently that they are now selling some italian made flails that look very nice. They aren't caroni, but something else that looked very well made.

Since we’re talking WoodMaxx flails, we may as well talk about how to mate them up to a Quick Hitch. They are not QH-ready, but it’s a super simple mod to make it so... Please see the photos and note that the slotted hole still functions as it should, allowing the flail to follow the ground contours.
This is a simple pair of 3/8” x 2” flat bar. 3/4” holes are about 4 1/2” apart. I leave the bars on the QH all the time, and they do not interfere with any of my other devices.
