Good morning friends, i have the b2301, curious if the kk TG-48-XB-OT will fit the 2301. I’ve a little research and there seams to be a difference between the TG-48 and the TG-48-XB. I don’t want to make a high dollar mistake..There is a local auction Friday night with the possibility picking one up for the cheap

I had a quik look, seems to be a 'normal' 48' wide 3PH tiller, so it'll fit. maybe XB means Xtra Beefy ??? IDK....
One place had $2500 price tag and at auction I suspect it'll go for that or more, depending on the final 'out the door' fees.
All the used/abused tillers of that size are $2500 CDN. Been looking to replace my 5' big tractor with a BX23S version. Seems crazy to pay 2x what I did for the 5' tiller though.

I know this isn’t what you asked really…Are you able to see it in person? Reason I ask is it looks like the upper frame mount area (center pic) looks like somebody ‘loved it’ too hard😉. Maybe it is just camera angle but if paying high dollar in an auction Id want to be aware of that and what adjustment might be needed.

yeesh..... WHY couldn't they say 'GD' for Gear Driven !!!!
I gave up on auctions due to the 'buyer's premiums' and taxes. Win at $100 and you'll pay $130 'out the door'. MORE if you're told 'loading fees' are added....

Thanks for all the information so as far as the PTO hook up to my tractor should be the same correct
The PTO hook up will be the same but the length of the PTO shaft will need you to verify it is the correct length.

A lot of these questions could be answered if people would use the online parts diagrams to determine if the parts are alike. An example would be the driveshaft. If the part number is the same for both machines, you are good to go. If not, then you will have to do the installation to determine if the driveshaft needs to be longer or shorter.

XP is King Kutters line of equipment designed for limited Cat 1 three point hitches. Nothing to do with gear drive or extra beefy. Notice the "sub compact" sticker on the back of the tiller.

The lower lift arm aka lower link pins have a slightly less wide spacing. There maybe other dimensional differences also. I had a phone conversation years ago with a King Kutter customer service person which was helpful.

Here is a video , important part showing the spacing of the lower lift arms pins is within the first minute to minute and half. He measures the width at about 20 inches versus a standard Cat one spacing of 26 inches.

I purchased a King Kutter XP box blade and XP landscape rake for my B7100 and they fit better than my standard Cat 1 back blade. I have also used my XP King Kutter implements on my L2501 and the lower lift arms angle in a bit in comparison to standard Cat 1 implements.

There is also a difference at least in the box blade and rotary cutter for the XP as far as weight and the heavy duty build aspect.

I always figured XB was a way to capitalize on Kubota’s very popular BX line without getting in possible trademark issues. They also paint their XB line a very similar orange color as a well known brand of tractor😉 while the bulk of their other implements are yellow

Correct. I had a KK "XB" landscape rake for my BX. The 3 pt linkages were as you described... just a bit shorter so they would better match up to the "subcompact" geometry of the BX and other little tractors. The King Kutter company is still selling a line of XB implememts according to their website.

IIRC the XB implements appeared to be functionally the same as the ones KK made with standard 3 pt geometry of the same width. If Slamin81 can hook it up to his 2301, it should work but should make sure the PTO shaft is the correct length as that may have been changed to match the subcompact geometry also.
