What service after draining hydraulic fluid

I recently had a problem with my L225 that caused me to drain my hydraulic fluid to perform the repairs needed in the final drive. I am currently waiting for the parts to arrive and should have that repair completed this weekend.

Since I already have the system drained is there maintenance that I should perform on the hydraulic system while the opportunity is here? I have already ordered a new screen filter...

Wellllll if ya got her down, new filters, fuel, air, oil, and while your waiting for parts maybe pump grease into every fitting you can find. And maybe pressure wash what you can, ya know things go back together a lot easyer when there clean

I had been having problems with my 3 point hitch before this rebuild. I am hopeful that the problem was the pressure leaking off through the bad oil seal. The oil first dripped but eventually exited the axle a rate a fire hose would be proud of!

Aside from the new oil seal, filter screen, and hydraulic oil replacement, is there anything else I should check in the hydraulic system before refilling the hydraulic fluid?

Double check the manual, my model has 2 pick up screens.

If you had any leaks on any fittings get those fixed, and check the condition of the rubber hoses on the pickups, if they are soft change them out while it's empty.

If it has a sight glass for the fluid clean or replace it.

I just had my L3750 hydraulic oil emptied and I dropped both drain plugs underneath. One had two big magnets on it that had all kinds of gunk on it. It was the one underneath the rear axle area. I also replaced both gaskets on the plugs.

That is a great point. I will pull the plug on the axle I am not working on to make sure there is nothing hiding there. Thanks!

I will also do a complete grease job as suggested above.
