All,
I got it, Kubota recommend using their IDT2 trans hydrollic fluid. Any recommend better oils out there? Getting Kubota trans hydrollic fluid is a bit of a pain for me…is it wise to use others with the same ISO? Thoughts appreciated! Outside of warranty now…thanks all.

Mystik JT-5 is what I use, Never had a Fluid related issue yet, and I've used it in HST's GST's, Skidsteer's and Min Ex's.

Dickinson 30 minute trip ? I know I-95 is royal PITA

AS for a better oil .... you will not find a better oil than the S-UDT2 ........... you MAY find some that will be compatible to it as Wolfman said - but better? No .........

AND yes I am fully aware that Kubota does not make oil(s) ......... but I have heard horror stories that people used UDT from TSC and then the hydraulic systems failed shortly thereafter ........

Bad news Kt,
You're going to get a million posts saying SUDT2 is the best and there is no equal.
Don't take my word for it, watch, read below.........

I'm not sure why the dealer you talked to would have recommended the Super UDT2 for your machine it should have the Kubota Item #70000-15605 it is called HD46 and is designed for the construction equipment. I wouldn't use the SUDT2 in that machine buddy but you might want to get a second opinion.

The oil Wolfman recommended might also be a good choice but we always use the manufacturer's recommended Fluids/Oils in all our equipment it's not worth the cost savings in my opinion. Good luck with whatever you decide on.

We've been running Kubota HD46 in all our Kubota skid and wheel loaders and excavators.

Thanks Ed - maybe I jumped the gun - you are correct, NOT S-UDT2 rather :

First clue: if it says "hydrollic fluid" on the label, don't buy it.

I'm impressed he spelled Kubota and not Kabota
I had a rental car while traveling this week and when the onboard system was converting my email text to speech it failed miserably with "Kubota". "Kabota" might have been a lot easier for it to get right.
