A DIY guy on YouTube that I've enjoyed watching over the years, bought himself a Kubota BX2350 from an auction.

Interesting. He sure dumped a boatload of starting fluid in that thing. Those engines are basically bullet proof. He'll have a great machine when he gets it done. (y)

I was worried about the amount he was using as well. But, from the sounds of it beforehand, I didn't think he'd hurt it much more.

He doesn’t list bent rods as one possible cause if low compression so he may not understand the danger of using starting fluid???

I thought it was odd that he seemed fairly knowledgeable about the engine but was using starting fluid - or he knew that he was going to rebuild the engine and didn’t care what he damaged, just to garner interest or clicks or comments.

There’s a Reason Kubota Owner Manuals warn against using ether / starting-fluic.

I can tell all I need to know about this guy by looking at the strapping job on the trailer. Didn't even need to click on the video.
