Top & Tilt Top Link Rubbing on Quick Hitch

Just took delivery of a L4060, I ordered the Kubota Top N Tilt kit and also bought a Land Pride QH16. When the 3 point is at the lowest position and the top link is all the way in the QH rubs against the hydraulic cylinder it's not much but it is enough to push some of the metal of the cylinder off. Does anyone know if this is an install issue or a design defect with the top cylinder being a smidge too long? Or I guess maybe the wrong length cylinder was ordered or sent or should I even worry about this??? Thanks

Brian

Once that CAT 1/2 ball fails, you can repair with a bit longer shank. Problem solved.

Keep an eye on that ball, they are known to oblong and rip out.

I think that I would grind off some of the QH metal so that there is clearance.

Or set the 3pt stop so that you can't have the hitch go that low.

One or the other. I would do the first option. (y)

Yep. I had that problem but it was an easy fix. The dealer gave me a replacement Heim joint, then I cut off the bad one and welded on the new one. No issues over the last 3-1/2 to 4 years once I made the swap.

I would be cutting or grinding the QH to make clearance. OR make your dealer do it if you can not. That should not be happening!!!
That's what I would do. I'd make the rear of the top plates look more like the QH10, shown below on my previous MX6000 open station. I have Kubota top-n-tilt on both tractors and have QH10 and QH15 quick hitches. I've not noticed any interference issues with either.

I'm going to see what the dealer says for now I'm going to notch out the QH since that upper corner of it really doesn't provide any support or anything.
