I picked up this 2011 B3200 a few months back and many of the loader bolts retaining the cylinders are half way backed off. After 40 hours or so that I've put on the tractor, they don't appear to have backed off any more. Should I tighten the nuts back down or are they this way from the factory?

The nuts appear to be lock nuts so there is no danger of them backing off the bolt. All the bolts do is hold the pin in place and keep it from rotating. So leaving as is, or tightening both work.

Yea, it looks like a nyloc nut. I was wondering if I tightened them down if that would help with some vibration & noise?

I had the same issue, I put a washer on and tightened, at least that way you can easily monitor if the become loose.

I check all mounting bolts for FEL and ROPS regularly cause they do work loose.

It wouldn't hurt to put new lock nuts on them or lock washers. Like said before they are just keeper bolts holding the pins in place. The will do nothing for vibration, just keep all of your pins well greased.

Most likely been that way since new. I know on mine those came from the dealer fairly loose. Like said they are really just a retaining pin, not really necessary for them to be tightened down.

When I buy a new machine, I use a hammer and chisel to foul a couple of the threads so the nut can't back off. I have had that happen and cause all kinds of problems. If I have to remove the bolt, I cut it off and replace it. Since I rent the machines, I am never the one operating the machine and don't get to keep an eye on them. A couple of whacks on the bolt and you never have to wonder.

They're supposed to be a little loose-the assembly manual specified I think 1/4" between the nut and the pin boss on most of them. I never questioned why. I suspect it has to do with not crushing the pin boss down-even slightly-which would make the pin tough to remove when the time comes.
