The fact that it is turning over is a "good" sign

Take off all the battery cables - look very closely at those inside and out.

Clean bright and tight and see if that makes any difference = check ground really well!

jump it directly to the starter and then try to start it.

Clean the connections at both ends of both cables. Then try to start it.

test or replace battery if above fails

Either that or your battery has died. The old battery could be pulling the jump battery down not leaving you enough start. Your engine needs to spin over rather than just turn over.

Edit: after posting I see that NIW is thinking along the same line.

Another edit: Tuesday my truck battery died as in immediately died. I cranked and drove it, then 5 minutes later it would not even click. Dead.

A battery load tester (carbon pile 100 amp.) is cheap.
Schumacher (on Amazon) is $42.20.
Some are cheaper still!

I have a 500 amp battery load tester.
500 amp load tester on Amazon = $77.98

Every tractor owner should have at least a 100 amp battery load tester.
Works for cars, trucks, mowers, boats, tractors, etc.

Testing is also done free, at most auto parts stores.
