OK we all know what I do not like about this B2601, small stuff but stuff that bothers me ,,BUNCHES !!!
I was out on it this after noon pushing out a couple stumps, it wet enough so they came out pretty easy,, NOW here is the problem,,,,, The bucket tilt, there has got to be some way to tighten that damn thing up! If my right leg bumps the lever ,well the bucket dumps! Not a good thing when one is trying to snake them selves around in the woods backing up.
I really dont care how bloody hard it is to move it to dump, I just need to keep it from dumping if my leg comes in contact with the lever,,, A piss poor design in MHO.
SO anybody have an idea on how to tighten that lever up some?

Skeets. I don't have a B but is it possible to fabricate some type of "guard" that your leg would hit rather than the lever? In other words something between your leg and the lever that your leg could rest against before hitting the lever.

EDIT;; After looking at photos of the tractor I don't think that's an option. Should have looked at the title "Smart Guys" and gone no further.

However, maybe you can bend the lever into a position where it takes it out of the way completely. May not be ideal for operation but out of the way is out of the way.

I'm going entirely off of my imagination, but perhaps a plate on a hinge that would swing down with a slot it in so the stick could still move in the up/down (forward/back), but stop it from left/right motion.

Thinking about it, I suppose the stick comes from near the floor/under the seat area or something as opposed to having the valve block just to the right of the steering wheel... My fix probably wouldn't really be possible/plausible...

This has been an issue for some time. Please refer to the post title "B2650 loader lever issue". Kubota is well aware of the problem. I guess that they are waiting until someone flips a tractor to give it serious consideration.

Picture this: Top speed, high range, your thigh contacts the lever, the bucket drops, oops we got trouble.

It is not the lock out, I know where that is. I dont need to lock it I need it much tighter so my knee dont push against it when I try to turn around accidently and dump the bucket,, Maybe some kind of a spring to hold it tighter. Pushing it over is no problem, when I want to,, its hitting it when I dont want to thats the problem

Hello Skeets,
No it's not the lockout, although engaging the lockout would avoid the problem, it's that when doing loader work, pallet work, ect. it is just not practical to repeatedly engage and disengage the lockout.

When I corresponded with Kubota, sending them copies of all the concerns expressed on this forum, they did not express any real concern over what I consider to be an ergonomic safety issue.

I have attached a copy of my letter just for reference.

It is my only complaint about my B3200. I hit that stick every time I back up looking over my shoulder.....

This ones interesting. I’m a pretty big guy but I’ve never had my thighs hit the loader lever. How does this happen?

All you need do my friend is turn to the right to look behind you,, The body turns and the knees follow, In MHO the lever needs to move to the side about 3 inches, it would still be with in the parameters of the tractor but would lessen the chances of an accidental dump. I am a fairly big guy my self but Im a tad bit crippled up and old so this causes some problems. It is a poor set up really, along with the C shaped tram peddle

I was looking at the pivot bolt , and was wondering if maybe tightening the bolt more might help
