First transmission broke while using the back hoe in a wash. THe tractor slid down the hill and a large rock poked a hole in the bottom of the case. Rare, but since then I have had an oil leak around the rear PTO cover plate. Today that hole became a mess.

The rear plate is broken in 4 pieces. Since it is only 7 bolts I pulled the cover. Worse yet inside the inner bearing support is destroyed. So I will again need a new case. Parts alone are over $3000 so I will throw a Hail Mary at the warranty 4 months before it expires.

Are there rebuilt cases out there anywhere? Mine is a 2016 BX25D LBH. I am seriously thinking of selling this as It breaks so much easier than my older Kubotas did. I am not sure what even caused this failure. I am thinking the crack was the leak and mowing the field, 10 acres over 3 days was too much for the cracks. The PTO shaft became unstable and finished off the cover, breaking the rear bearing mount too.

I am in SW Missouri. Not many good mechanics at the local shops. I found the frame was not aligned or torqued after the last repair. I also found 3 missing bolts and dozens of bolts that were loose. It was like the mechanic said, "I am done with this one" regardless of checking.

Tips, Suggested Mechanic names?

One of the absolute best techs I've ever worked with in my 30 years of mechanic'n was from the big John Deere dealer out of Sikeston, Mo. We worked together from about 1998 through I think 2009, he was well into his 60's at that time and retired. Wasn't very pesonable but knew his stuff. I heard he passed but I haven't kept up much.

Look into all states ag parts, see if they have anything. They're on the other side of the state from you, Sikeston, but might be able to give you some guidance. They may have even known or heard of Sonny.
