There should be timing marks on the crankshaft gear, idler gear and cam gear on the front of the engine. line those up properly and it will be in time. Hopefully, you saved the shims under the injection pump. If so, replace all of them and your injection timing will be right. The l285 Kubota seems to have that engine. You might find what you need there as far as the engine is concerned.
