Hi All

i have a kubota f3680 front mouted mower and have a problem with a intermitent fault. the machine can go days with no problem and then it can start spluttering and stalling as if its got a fuel starvation problem:mad:. i have replaced the filters also blown the fuel line back through to the tank and have also removed the fuel take and cleaned it out but it still has the same problem. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it.

thanks

Have you tried any fuel conditioner in it to make sure it doen't have water in the fuel. Water will make it sputter and run awful and if it doesn't have very much in the system can sometime clear up somewhat. That was the first thing that came to mind but I'm not a mechanic either.

I also have a new F3680 but no such problem. Could it be air leaking into a vacuum line? That sounds like a stretch. The water comment sounds plausible.

I am replying late, have you found the problem by now? If so, let us know.

How do you like your F3680. I am really liking mine but only ahve 12 hours on it so far.

I had the same problem today, twice. Both times I was stopping on a downhill slope.
I would try to replicate the problem going down the same slope. Do not put any more fuel in the tank. If you can successfully replicate the problem going down the same slope, then add fuel to the tak and try again. If the mower stays running after adding fuel, then it sounds like it could be a fuel pickup problem or a fuel pump problem.

Disclaimer: I am not a mechanic but I have successfully diagnosed a fuel problem in a like manner and I just wanted to share what I learned.
