PTO Driven Water Pump

Hi all, was looking to see if anyone had a recommendation for a roller/ washdown pump for a BX series. Basically what I am trying to do is use the tractor to move water around the property. We have a couple of ponds and garden beds scattered about and it would be ideal to take from the pond rather than the municipal tap which is chlorinated and costs money. I also have a stormwater pond that needs to get drained down.

I've seen large water pumps mounted to heavier equipment that can move crazy amounts of water. Really just looking for something that would substitute the garden hose.

Any input is much appropriated.

Curious - would a stand alone be cheaper than a PTO driven one?

And would you want your tractor tied up for the duration of pumping?

I too would recommend a stand alone gas powered pump!
Much more versitile, and can be easily sold if/when no longer needed.
Probably cheap at HF.... but, buy their 2 yr warranty!

HF has them for cheap, but between the hard suction and how far the discharge hose is going will be the additional cost. Had my 2" for 15 years and it still works great, 100gpm.

The normal roller pump that are PTO driven, would be a VERY poor choice for moving dirty water, they will wear out in short order.
You're much better off with a sump pump or a trash pump to do the job.

Thanks for the feedback. I think a stand alone trash pump has been added to the ongoing term list of wants. It seems to be better suited for moving large amounts of water. Was curious if something like bilge pump could be used to fill smaller totes and move the totes around with the tractor. Even the manual bilge pumps could work, I don't mind putting in some effort.
