I work with a BX2200 Kabota, bought in 2001 and the power steering has an unusual amount of play at times. Some times I have to oversteer a third of a turn to finally get response. Can anyone help me as to the problem and cure to this steering play?
Wild ass guess here but it sounds like the Steering controller has an issue with the priority valve internally or metering device.... if it's like my newer BX2230 Take a look at the attachment if I can get it loaded and pull your hood and look for the controller. Come back with serial number so I can research your needs. 1500 hours is getting up there dude. Make sure the SUDT and filter are fresh and at the proper level to rule out air pockets in the cylinder and we will go from there with a fix.
Thanks for the quick reply Ob1, will always check the fluid level before using but suspect the filter needs changed and possibly fluid also. Have parts on order and will follow your advice. Thanks for the info.
