Have a used L3400f that the previous owner has bypassed the fuel lift pump. I have a new pump ordered to install, but I am unsure what is involved. I don't know if it is necessary to get the air out once I hook it up or what else might be needed. Can anyone provide some insight? I can work on an old gas engine, but small diesels are pretty Greek to me. Any help is appreciated.

My main concern is... DO I need to bleed or prime anything when I hook up the new fuel lift pump?

Need to get the air out of the system. Here is a video that may give you some tips. Different tractor, same idea.
