Own a B7100D that was passed down from my Dad. I have a pull behind trailer that I wanted to repaint and need a durable industrial paint.

I see Imron comes in several colors and also Sherwin Williams has an epoxy based paint. I have a HVLP system so anyone use Imron or Epoxy paint before? The TSC Old Kubota Orange has way too much red and the hardener didn't seem to harden the paint up so I'm redoing the paint.

Thanks for any help :)

I've sprayed all different kinds of finishes on just about everything.
I think that for anything that's going to get used, rubbed, chipped, or scratched, Industrial Enamels are better that epoxy finishes.
You can also repair or overcoat Enamel finishes without removing the original coat.

I have sprayed Imron with conventional equipment and it flows out good, can't beat the shine!
I'm going to be checking with my dealer about mixing some arc. enamel in new orange if they have the formula

If you can find Valspar Tractor and Implement color. Try automotive stores in your area, like the UniSelect store in Burkburnett, just went blank on the name. Not talking about Oreillys or the Zone, they wont have it. I am an automotive rep for the company and have used it.

Sherwin-Wiliams has a chip and code for both the old and new Kubota Orange colors.

Let me know if you need the codes.
Vic, if you have a code for the old Kubota orange (and maybe the Kubota blue) can you post them? I think it would be a good idea to add them to the paint page also as I didn't see them there.

Thanks for all the help guys!

I went to our local Sherwin Williams and they don't do automotive, in fact the salesperson didn't know what Imron was.

When I asked about Kubota paint chip codes the person said they didn't have it.

Since I've bought a quart of OEM Kubota blue paint, what reducer is recommended? I found this article, but the Sherwin Williams R7K211 must of been replaced by an alternate. http://http://www.orangetractortalks.com/2008/10/paint-reducers-and-kubota-paint/

I'm looking for a retarder not fast reducer.

Vic any word on the paint chip colors?
