What is the most likely cause?
Leak is 2-3 drops each time i use the tractor.
If i only add oil once in a while... is there risk of bigger repairs later?
Expensive repair?
Thx for your help and advise.

It's either the knuckle seal or the axle seal. I just did all 4 on my L 3650 ... which was leaving puddles. Only risk of more damage is running it low.

I dont know about Kabota because I haven't had a front hub problem but have been down that road with a dk 90 Kiota..my advice on it is if you are seeing oil tear it down..just spent 2g and not everthing was shelled..not to hard to open it up and inspect the seals and bearing and gears..first time it wasn't as bad but still about 600.00...both sides have had problems and all front hubs are similar.

Thx for your advise.
It looks like it is coming from the knuckle, in this case is it axel fluid coming out?
I have limited mecanic skills...how difficult is it to replace?
Is there a book a can buy with all mecanical details of my bx?
The user manual doesnt go in that details.
Thx!

You need to obtain the Kubota WSM from KubotaBooks if you plan on doing it yourself You can download the Workshop Manual to your computer and follow that.

If you have limited mechanical ability, I would (myself) take it to your local dealer and have them do it.

Seriously... with this small of a leak it could be quite a while before it gets bad and repairs are absolutely necessary. If your owners manual allows gear lube as an option, switching to that will slow the leak down. Whatever you do don't let it get low on lube.

Hi-

Also, check YouTube for videos on replacing this seal on the BX - there are several of them. It's a fairly easy repair, but needs time. The part I had trouble with was seating the new seal, which is why I ended up at the dealer for my repair (took the hub and axle ends in with me and dropped off...easier than taking the entire tractor).
