Oh crap !!

Fri. afternoon. Just drained my oil and pulled filter, THINKING I had another filter, but nooooooo, it's a tranny filter. Duh. Dealer is 2 hours away and we are in for a long day of work with the Kubota tomorrow. Question: Are there comparable filters I can get at Tractor Supply, NAPA dealers, etc? Could anybody give me filter number or cross reference to any other filter?

NAPA should have one to fit. I have some backup NAPA filters on the shelf for my B2320. Check your local store.

There is a dealer not far from you just south of Grand Rapids. Kubota of West Michigan at US-131 and 100th St.

I imagine they're open til noon on Saturdays. Hope this helps.

Wix makes NAPA filters.

For the BX2660 the Wix filters are:

Air...........46449
Fuel.........33972
Hydraulic..57088
Oil............51064 (replaces Kubota HH15032094)

The NAPA filter is usually the Wix number without the first digit.

Just the color and what they cost,, the big K doesn't make there own filters or oils or well you get the idea,, Im not sure, but once I think someone in here said they were made for the big K by WIX

Given that your nearest Kubota dealer is two hours away it is a no-brainer. NAPA (Wix) filters will cost you less, save your time, support your local economy, and give you peace of mind. Kubota filters can be ordered online but the shipping costs are often prohibitive.

Wix makes an excellent filter, Hastings is another excellent filter. Those are the brands used on all my tractors. Use them with confidence.

I would guess that Kubota doesn't skimp on filters that they contract out to have built for them. If a good deal can be found then go for it.

Prices of the filters are so close that it really doesn't make a lot of economic difference in the long run. But for something hard working and expensive to repair, like a tractor, there is no reason to go cheap.
