No Throttle Adjust On BX2680

I have a 2018 BX2680 with only 26 hours on meter. When I go to give her half or full throttle, she always goes back to the idle mode. Cruse control is turned off. What am I doing wrong, do I call the Dealer? Thanks in advance.

There is 2 nuts that lock together under the dash that you adjust to keep some tension on the throttle linkage, to keep it from doing that.

Yes -- this happens to just about everyone with a BX. One of the first things I did was to replace the bottom factory nut with a nylock nut (then kind with the white plastic bushing inside it.) I have not had to re-tighten again ever since. I think it was 19 cents at the hardware store.

+1 on the Nylock. Poor design from Kubota.

Update: Found nut (Lock Nut) laying on bottom of inside when I took off cover below dash. I admit this is a poor design on Kubota's part. Found other nut loose on throttle shaft. Tighten both nuts and tractor worked fine, but would still wants to go to idle after about 5 minutes. I will wait until the 50 hour service is due, because I do not want to over tighten the two nuts and break the shaft, so will let Kubota fix it.

In the mean time I will install a nylon locknut. Thanks to Wolfman and others for your inputs.

I know its a guy thing, I can fix it myself,, but with 26 and change on the clock you should at last call the dealer and see if they will send somebody out to take care of it,, I mean it should still be under warranty

D2Cat Thanks, I have sent the picture plus info to Dealer. We will see what happens. I had to repair tractor, because I had to mow 2 foot high weeds.

Since we are on he subject of BX 2680 and throttle control , what is your idle rpm ? I was surprised that when delivered last week mine was 1500 rpm , never seen a small tractor with an idle so high. I called the dealer and was told by their service manager that 1500 idle is normal for that engine ... still hard to accept

My RPM's at idle are 1500. I hope this helps.
