I recently purchased a used B21 and trying to determine the year its was manufactured, does anyone know if there is a way to establish the year of a Kubota? I am also starting to restore the B21 and have determined the body color is the Orange II but not sure about the under carriage, it is very faded and not sure if it is Kubota Blue, Kubota Dark Gray or Kubota Dark Gray semi Gloss. Again can this be determined by a serial number or the year of manufacture? Thank you for your help on this

As far as I know, there isn't an way to determine the paint color from the serial number. My advice would be --- paint it the way you like it. Me --- I would use Dark Gray Semi Gloss. It wasn't blue. It was gray.

Take a look to see if there isn't a month and year date stamped into the rear wheel --- look on the outside and around the outer edge of the rim. Granted, that's the date that the wheel was made. Assuming no huge inventory of wheels, that ought to be pretty close to the month and year that your tractor was made.
