I just took delivery of a new tractor yesterday. I had never sat on one before delivery so I’m ignorant of most things. Unfortunately, my dealer did a very poor job of putting things together. Pins too short for a key, missing air valve cover, steering wheel completely crooked.
In the mower manual and YouTube video I’ve seen, the knob that controls cut height has 1 through 4. Mine only has 0,1&2 with 4 clicks in between each. The manual gives different formulas on height based on 1-4 of the knob plus settings on the wheels of the deck.
I’m afraid they may have grabbed the wrong knob being sloppy.
Also, it is my understanding that you can raise the 3 point (controls the mower deck too) put the mower knob to TOP and it locks the deck up high so you can use a rear implement. Mine does not lock when I turn to TOP.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I can only comment on one item. Your steering is hydraulic and therefore the steering wheel can move from being centered. If you have it running ang turn the wheel all the way left or right and hold it there the hydraulics will bypass and the wheel will continue to turn. That's why if you put a steering wheel ball on the wheel it will never stay where you put it. Hope this makes sense.

Thank you. The dealer quickly corrected the first set of issues, same day. This mower deck issue has me worried, it seems more difficult to correct. And I worry what else they may have done incorrectly that I don’t know what to look for.

IDK. Is this a 2020 deck? Kubota could have changed something. Mine is two years old and looks like the one in the first picture. seems like the wrong knob though. The knob comes with the mower frame so not sure how that got messed up. What’s the dealer say?

Supposedly it was just off the truck. But it doesn’t match what is pictured here and in the manual I was given. The manual gives several settings that correlate with the deck wheel height settings and so mine wouldn’t work even if it was installed correctly. I can only get it to turn between 0 and TOP so no markings even line up. And isn’t it supposed to turn more than 1/4 of the knob anyway?

Okay, the dealer sent someone out that seemed very knowledgeable. He climbed under and the staircase adjustment piece was bound so now the knob turns. Also, they had put another sticker on top so I peeled it off and now have the correct 1-4.
The only things that still bothers me is the knob doesn’t exactly line up with the arrow. Mine stops at 4 and not top but the tech says that’s top. What makes me wonder is that I can now lower the 3 point and the mowing deck stay relatively high, just not at the very top when raising the 3 point all the way up. Does that sound right? Perhaps I’m too picky.

It doesn’t stay exactly at the top. it’ll drop a little. You can pin it up if you really want to keep it at the top. With the deck all the way up, look under at the front of the deck on top, and you can see where the holes in the tabs on the deck line up with the tab on the frame and you pin it there. I always take the deck off when I’m not using it, it’s so easy to take on and off.
The 1-4 on the knob probably doesn’t line up cuz like you say it’s just a sticker on it, so I’d say take that off and line it up with the mark when it’s at the top.
