Good Evening,

I searched the interweb some but not the forum before posting this... if it is a beaten dead horse than I apologize, and if not then lets share some knowledge and experience to help all.

Anyway I'm thinking about getting another set of blades for my Woods PRD7200 rear finish mower (its not due for new blades but I like to have at least 2 sets). I'm curious if anyone has tried Mulching/Gator style blades on their rear discharge rfm? If so, what is the opinion in comparison to the standard type blade?

My only first hand experience with the gator blade has been on my cub cadet ztr that I got off my buddy last year. It needed blades when I got it from him (which I installed before using it) so I have no first hand comparison between the two blade styles.

I did notice that it does seem to leave smaller clippings but I'm not sure if that's just attributed to the different deck and mower designs between a zero turn and using a rfm behind a tractor.

Thanks

I don't have experience with a rear discharge but they work great on my caronni side discharge. I put them on a JD riding mower I used to have as well.

One noticeable difference, other than smaller clippings, is that they are considerably thicker than other blades.
