I've been researching and lurking for quite a while and am about to pull the trigger on a new LX2610SU. I have heard that most dealers are selling tractors below MSRP, in some cases 10-15%. But the two dealers near me are both a bit above MSRP, one by a grand. I'm in the California Bay Area, which I'm sure is the big factor. Anyone have any experience buying out here? I expect to pay no more than MSRP, but hearing that some people in other states got so much under makes me hesitate.

Hello
check with Tony at Dolk Tractor in Rio Vista. They would be a hour drive from you. Just bought A L2501HST from them. They were $1000 less then the dealers in the valley. Good luck.

My first Kubota purchase was in the mid south. I paid 15% off list, so a great deal 5 years ago. Same area and same frame tractor I just purchased again 2 weeks ago was only 6% off list. I seek the best deals myself, and do many hours of homework. With inventories being low, and prices of metal/fuel so high, the dealers can pretty much charge list. The dealer I bought from had the machine I wanted in stock, when others couldn't even give a timeframe. I do all my own servicing, so short of warranty work I don't darken the door of the dealer for much. I would suggest you buy from who can get you a machine at a decent price without much haggle. I am happy I didn't wait because the prices went up 3% since March. Do not expect the prices to drop much in the near future.

good advice to be sure. Both dealers have come down since I posted, and are within a couple hundred of each other. But one has the tractor I want already on the way set to arrive within the month, so that's likely the route I'll take. Thanks for helping out a tractor newbie!
