I'm moving the rear tires further out on the axel on my B7100.

Is there anything I need to know?

It looks like the bolt has a spring?

Many thanks.

Nothing major- just make sure that you properly tighten those bolts back down, and make sure that each wheel has a locating pin, and it is in good shape and installed.

Many thanks. How tight should the bolts be? Just "tight" or do I need a toque wrench?

Thanks.
Tight. You need to torque them- sorry that I can't remember the amount, but it is up there. They need to be tight, so that the hub doesn't wiggle on the axle.

Please post a photo of how far out you put yours, I have the Agri tires on mine and i want to move the wheels out further, but I think that I am maxed out now.
Thanks,
KC

It's easy to tell- there aren't that many holes in the axle for adjustment- if the tire looks fairly centered with the fender, then you should have one more step to the outside.

If you want to get the maximum width posible, you can turn the wheel around on the hubs so the clamp and tube vavle is towards the tractor .you will also have to change the wheels from one side of the tractor to the other so the chevrons face the correct way.I have mine set this was or I would have turned it over long ago:eek:

I finally spent the $35 on a torque wrench, should have a long time ago.
Car tires are torqued somewhere around 90 foot pounds.
Tractor would probably be a bit higher but I tighten mine to 90 lbs as well.
