Moving 3rd Function Buttons on Joystick?

Find the power wire, and install a switch to turn it off when you don't need it. Problem solved.
That is what I did with my summit valve. I drilled a hole and installed it in the loader valve plastic. It was a small 30 amp rocker from advance auto and has a led so i know at a glance if it is on.

Out of curiosity do you have a 3rd function lockout button on your machine? My M59 has one. The buttons are also on the side for thumb operation and are protected with bump guards.

If you don't have a lockout button you might want to consider adding one, probably all you need is a SPST switch on the 12V feed.
