i got a new lx2610 has 50 hours on it and i noticed this weird sound. i heard it when it had 5 hours but i thought it was just normal and it goes away and comes back once in a while. i tried everything to recreate the sound and i cant, it randomly does it and randomly stops. is this normal? i checked everywhere for maybe something loose rattling, but couldn't find anything. should i go to the dealer?

Not normal. Doesn’t sound like anything on the outside, sounds internal to me.

Sounds like it could be a severe case of "gear lash" (the noise straight cut gears make, that decreases as RPM increases). My B2650 makes a similar sound at low RPM (not as severe), but the sound starts to disappear when the RPM's go up, and especially when the an implement is engaged and working. You really should have your dealer look at it. If they say everything is fine, and it later becomes a problem you have a good argument to make to get it fixed for free.

Did you ever get an answer on this noise. Mine began this at 5 hrs. Checked transmission level. Not even on dipstick. Added 1.5 qts and still nothing. Did 20 minutes of light work to finish yard leveling. Noise was gone after adding fluid but returned 15 minutes in. Going to buy more udt-2 this week. No signs of leakage and have not added new implements. Came new with loader. Any answers for you a few years back?
Thanks
