I'm expecting to take delivery of my BX25D next week and can't wait. This will be my first real "tractor". We have a green LA120 lawn tractor that we use to cut the grass on our little acre and a half kingdom, but the BX is going to open a world of possibilities and projects for us. We thought long and hard on the 25D or a 2360 with just the loader. I finally sold her on the idea of the backhoe by telling her we can finally run the electric to the landscaping like she wants. I have a ton to learn and am excited for the challenge. I've been poking around on here for a few days and the wealth of knowledge and information has been a huge help if not a tad bit overwhelming. Pretty sure my first job with her will be driving around the property and cutting any low hanging limbs to clear the ROPS (never had one of those to worry about before).

You will find that this machine is a hellva lot of fun ......take it easy and learn the controls ........

take it slow and easy the first 50 hours, the learning curve is quick - sometimes you can get a little too cocky after a short while..

RTFM ------- that would be "read the freaking manual!"

get a good grease gun.........

mmmm......lights...........

mmmmmmmmm.....toothbar !!!

mmmmmmmmmm ...rear spacers..........

your wife will lovvvvvvvvvvvve this machine............good luck on you getting on it !!:eek::D:)

Welcome JustaBill,

I was going to get the smaller one and my wife saw the backhoe and said lets get that one.

You will need one or two diesel fuel cans.
Get fuel from a busy station.

The most important thing in the manual is about break in procedures.

Check things over when it is delivered.

Check all the fluid levels.
Check the pto shaft for the mower deck.
One person was missing the lower radiator hose.

I made my "to do list" before it arrived.
Like get rid of the extension cord to the barn and bury electrical.
Move rocks.
Dig out stumps.

If you have a spot out back to familiarize your self with the backhoe.

My job usually has some downtime in it. Figuring on taking the manual with me on a couple of trips to get familiar with it. I have a spot where I burn limbs and leaves etc. 25 cinder blocks around. I figure that's a great place for me to get my feet wet with the backhoe, and we need mulch anyway so I'll buy bulk and play with the loader moving the pile around.

Bill allow me to explain something,,,
1. YOU ARE WORKING remember that WORKING,, never playing on the tractor,,
2. ALWAYS when speaking to your lovely bride, tell her how hard you worked while using the tractor,,
3. Spend as much time as you can on it WORKING, and when you finish kick the first tree you come to so when you walk in the house she wont be able to see the BIG SMILE on your face due to the pain of kicking the tree
4. Congratulations on your new toy,,, ERRR TOOL I MEANT TOOL:rolleyes:
