First off... name was supposed to be MULE LOVER...not Make Lover..
Oh my....

I have a 2012 L4240 HSTC-3 that dealer can't figure out. It has just over 900 hours, just put all new injectors in (they all tested bad by Kubota and one was cracked)
When I first start out in transit to the days field location I can floor pedal and it feels like someone is holding me back. RPM right at 2,000. Once I go about 0.3 miles it'll jump right up to 3,000 RPM and loose that "held back" feeling..then runs great all day...only to start out the same way the next day.
Anyone else experience thus?
Any thoughts?
I'm thinking transmission. Been serviced regularly by Kubota dealer.

A moderator should be able to alter your user name if there's no way for you to do it. If your engine rpm won't come up right after starting I would say it's more engine or fuel feed than transmission. The manual probably recommends a warm up time before putting the tractor to work. There may be a built in delay to ensure this happens. There is probably also a recommendation for maximum engine rpm.

I appreciate your input.
Perhaps didn't make it clear enough.
RPM is fine in and of itself.
When in transit I can stomp on HYDRO pedal to the floor and it feels like its way overloaded (actually no load on it) and RPM will only go to 2,000 in high range. But drop it to low range and RPM jumps to 3,000 and doesn't have that overloaded feeling....runs fine. Pushes and pulls fine etc.
Put back to high range, drops back to 2,000 RPM and feels overloaded again.
Once I've gone about 0.3 miles then high range is fine... in fact even pulling it's fine at that point.
Doesn't change by warming it up a longer time before I leave the barn.

What fluid are you running in it?

And FYI: I put in a request to have your name changed.

Most of what you stating is somewhat normal.
The next time you take it out cold, when the RPM's drop lift you foot slowly off the pedal and see if the tractor speed and RPM's go back up.

Note: And just because the dealer is putting fluid in it, doesn't mean they are using the right fluid.
Kubota has several different fluids.
I've seen cases where the dealer used the wrong fluid and caused some pretty strange and harmful results.

This is a case where you need to make sure.
Is the fluid clear or amber?
Is it thick or is it thin?
Did they give you options on what fluid they used?

Not normal at all. I've owned it since it was new. Didn't use to be this way.

I'll check on the status of the fluid. Thanks on that.

So checked the transmission oil. Thin. Clear. Doesn't smell burnt.

Has it done this new behavior it between multiple fluid, and more importantly filter changes?

I'm thinking maybe a blocked HST filter could be causing issues.

Ok good info,
Have you tried pushing the clutch pedal when it's doing this?
Thinking maybe slipping clutch???
When it does it, if only the slightest amount of clutch pedal engagement amplifies it tremendously then I think burnt clutch disk or weak pressure plate.

But it's HST.
Yea newer HST's power the HST via a flex plate and not via a clutch disk, but his uses a clutch disk to power the HST.
And a slipping clutch disk can make the HST "slip".
