Radiator on L3901 vents coolant on starting, and the thermostat needle does not move enough to heat for regeneration.

Coolant should not vent during starting or EVER!! You have a sealed system. Look for defective or missing radiator cap or take it in for service. While at the dealer inquire about the temperature gauge and regeneration issues. You may have stuff covered by warranty going on.
