Well its better now.
I totally drained the fuel tank, filled up with fresh fuel, added a bottle of Lucas Deep Clean Fuel System Cleaner, 5.25 oz bottle - $7.50
Fired it up and it dont miss a beat.

Now I gotta fix the PTO grinding noise.
The number of times owners on the forum have gotten portable fuel tanks mixed up and put some gasoline in their tractor tank is happening often enough that one of my standard questions has to do with this.

If you don't have separate YELLOW tanks for your tractor fuel and instead use the red ones, now is the time for a change.

I am pleased this problem is resolved!

Yes sir I do use yellow tanks.
I crank and let run my tractors when I dont use them much.
Also, I have a B1550 that sits under the same shed as the L3800. The 1550 has 850 hrs and is 30 years old.
As of yet, it has not had the fuel issue of the 3800 and they both use the same yellow tanks. No big deal just sayin. I am happy to be runnin again, and I learned a lot about the fuel system of the tractor.
