Hi all. I have a L3200 tractor with LA524 loader. 60 hours. My loader makes a clattering noise when held in the full dump position. It's done it since new. None of the other bucket or loader positions make this clattering noise when held in their extreme positions. They just make the normal engine strain noise which means the relief valve is opening (I think). Dealer checked with Kubota NZ who said this clattering was normal. However I don't have a lot of faith in them to provide the correct answer. The loader has the 3rd service fitted for a 4in1 bucket. Electric solenoid operation. I can't find any other posts about this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks very much for any assistance.

The answer is simple - dont do that in any position. Clatter or not it is bad practice and not good for the system.

Thanks Dan. Question was more for what's going on differently with the dump function than the other functions (that don't clatter) when at the extreme end. What's making the clatter? Is something internal already damaged that may need fixed? Thanks.

Unlike the other functions the dump function is a regenerative circuit. My guess is that in combination with the operation of the relief valve is somehow causing the chatter. Stop holding the valve over and it will stop chattering.

Unless you have something else of real significance going on relax and put the tractor back to work.
