Had a freeze plug come of the head, didn't find it until after I started to disassemble the head from the block.
Put a new head gasket on and adjusted the valves. I attempted to bleed the fuel lines by turning the engine over with the fuel lines cracked at the injector. Closed the compression nuts when fuel started leaking out around the line.I'm getting blck smoke from the exhaust but no ignition. Also opened the bleed valve on the injector pump and turned the engine over for a minute.
If I have successfully bled the lines, should I have fuel coming out the overflow line at the fuel tank? Is there anyway to help that along or do I need to just keep turning the engine over?
The tractor has a lot of hours +3k before the meter died. It was running when I bought it before the plug popped and dumped the AF into the crankcase. I'm wanting to be sure that air in the fuel line isn't the issue before I take myself down another rabbit hole. My next plan is to check compression and then injector nozzles.
