Have an L2850DT with a little under 1500 Hours on it and it don't turn up as fast as it used to. I seldom use full throttle so don't know how long it has been like this. It turns about 2250 wide open no load and if I remember right it would turn over 2500 originally ( 540 RPM mark on Tach is Around 2400 RPM) and it used to do it no problem. Have changed the air and fuel filters with no results. Start and runs excellent as it always has. I bought this new in 1991 so I know the history of it. Always been serviced regularly by me. Any suggestions?

#1 Start with the throttle linkage, and stop linkage and make sure something has not gotten out of adjustment.
There are stops on the linkage that effect throttle adjustments.

#2 It could be that you have worn injectors and they will need to be replaced to achieve full RPM's.

I was thinking of checking the linkage as the tractor was split a few years ago to replace clutch. Maybe something got messed with then. Don't seem that the injectors should be bad at less than 1500 hours. I have tractors with 6000 hours and original injectors. Thanks for the reply
