l2201 ld - 4x4 steering pull

hi all

im an absolute newb. got the above for small property maintenance.

have noticed steering has become heavy and pulling to right when 4x4 engaged. its fine in 2wd.

any ideas and pointers to assist me id fault and repair most appreciated.

located south of perth in karnup.

sound as if left front 4wd is locked up , thus pulling double time to the right.
jack up front end .... see what happens in 2wd and in 4wd

I presume this is with the engine off?

thanks for the replies guys will give it a try. also assume engine off but in gear to check? if oi t ia locked innhow do i release it?

If it's locked up you're going to need to tear into it and do some repairs.
