hmm, maybe look at the tranny model/ case part number...see if IT is in something else.
TD says 1972-1973 so a real long shot if ANY 'grave yard' had any.
600 for a new gear is steep BUT if you really, really want to keep the beastie, that's OK, BUT what about OTHER parts !!! Can you GET starter, pistons, rad, tranny gears, whatever for it ???
Hate to see you spend 600 and then find out you CAN'T get the next piece of the puzzle !!!!
'20 HP' engine..maybe something new has a ring gear that will fit ? If it has a 9 tooth starter gear, it might ? Similar size,HP, etc.
Too bad there isn't a 'universal ring gear selection chart' on the internet......
