L 2350 steering box issue
Do you know if I can replace existing power steering with manual steering box assembly. There doesn't seem to be a ballnut assembly readily available for my power steering box. The expense is less for manual. I have concerns about steering difficulty since I have a loader. Can anyone give advice

You can get the part, granted it ain't cheap $559.34 + shipping, but it's available.
It's P/N 35270-16200
Call these folks:

Your other option is to replace the box, the pitman arm, the steering linkage and drag link, then re-pipe the hydraulic system to eliminate the PS loop.

Not an easy or cheap task.

The expense would have to be a LOT less for me to justify running a tractor that is equipped with a loader, with no power steering. Brings back memories of the old B7300's with a loader. Impossible to steer it with the loader installed, much less a load in the bucket. Then when one tire his a bump or a stick or anything with one tire, you had better be holding the steering wheel really tight, or risk a broken finger from steering feedback. I used to mow a church yard (16 acres) with an L2350F, 5' finish mower, and found out the hard way that manual steering SUCKS. Even with the weight of the finish mower on back. Steered easy but I didn't think about it much until the first time I got into the rougher area of the yard, got a "little" steering feedback, which spun the wheel and broke my thumb. Remember it well. I wanted to invent new words.

Good advice. Now, when I receive the ballnut can you guys help me know how to properly install. It has to go through the bottom of the gear box and not sure how to get it on the shaft already in the gear box. Does it screw on then turn into position? Could use some instructions here
