Kubota D722-E Exhaust Manifold 19462 vs 15861

Hi!

I'm new to this forum and came here in hope of getting answers for my little problem/project.

I have a Kubota D722-E from a mid 90's trailer cooler/generator unit, judging from the engine number it's older than 1997 but later than 1992. If that matters in my case I don't know, guess you guys will have to tell me.

I'm stuffing this little engine into a twin track work sled, and I need an exhaust manifold that will work for my application. I've found three that seems like that they might do the work. But I can't connect their part numbers and their physical dimensions without a little help.

First up, exhaust manifold part number 19462-12312
Listed often as Kubota original or "default", if you so will, exhaust manifold.

Similar, but somehow diffirent apparently, exhaust manifold part number 15861-12313

And the third one, isn't even listen for the D722, but for the L2000 tractor with the D1100 engine. Exhaust manifold part number 15321-12313
If the exhaust ports and flange bolts line up I really can't see any problems with it.

Kubota D722 exhaust ports and flange bolts measurements.
Exhaust port center-center measurement: 78 mm (3.070 in)
Flange bolt center-center measurements: 48 mm, 70 mm, 96 mm, 70 mm (1.890 in, 2.775 in, 3.779 in, 2.775 in)
Flange bolt holes: 6, 6.7 mm (M6)
Exhhaust port diameter: 22 mm (0.87 in)

The thing is that I need to get over the gearbox cover and under the gearshift/steering column under the daschboard and that's why I can't use manifold 19462, because the raised hump/flange will collide with the gearshifter and steering column.
If there's no difference between 19462 and 15861 and 15321 doesn't fit I'll be forced to either build my own manifold (which I'm not too eager to do...) or take a 19462 or 15861 and cut it off by the flanges and flip it over 180 degrees and weld it back up. But I rather have a manifold that will fit bolt on in my machine if so possible.

Sorry, but both your links to the parts is not right, they lead to JLG lift parts.

Oh, well cr@p... Then you'll have to select Kubota Engine, select D722-E3B in the box to the right, scroll down in subsystem and select Exhaust Manifold R1 (19462) and R2 (15861). It got way more complicated than I wanted it to be, sorry. It worked the other day though...

Would this work?

1G026-12310 (fits ZD18 lawn mower). I "think" it can be flipped over to point downward but I haven't tried (yet).

You can't flip the exhaust as the flanges are not symmetrical, sadly the front port is the opposite of the two rear ports. :(

I put a d662 into a kubota G4200. The engine that I have had the same exhaust manifold that you listed first when I got it, with the outlet pointing straight up. I have the old one that I can measure if you need some dims. I ended up using a manifold off of a d600, used in the G5200H mower, that looks like your second picture, with the outlet pointing to the flywheel end of the engine. I got it from messicks for something like $75. I can also get you some dims on that if you need it.

I believe that all of the exhaust manifolds on the super mini series engines 3 cylinder engines interchange.

Let me know if you need any measurements.

Hi guys! Sorry for not checking up on your replies! :(
Nearly forgot about this forum, been up over my ears with work.

This is the manifold I had. It will collide with the gearshift linkage under the steering shaft that comes down from the instrumentpanel. I can't put an angle on it either, and cutting it open is out of the question.



Here's the manifold I've been checking out. Part number: KU-15861


It looks like this one. Part number: KU-19462


But I think I've figured out the differense, one of them is missing the bosses for the alternator heatshield. No differense in the exhaust exit flange height like I thought earlier. But both styles have this hump sticking up. So I can't use this either because of this...


The manifold must clear under the gearshift lever linkage and over the gearbox itself. I know that the wiring looks like a snakes nest, I'm not the one who caused it, I'm the one fixing it! :D


Older pic from when the sled was fitted with a Rotax 500 liquid cooled engine from a Ski Doo Formula. Worked well but way too much power. But I think I had the quickest Grizzly while it lasted... But here you can see how the instrumentpanel is set up and how I must clear the gearshift linkage and gearbox cover.


This style would be perfect, if the holes lined up within a reasonable margin.
This manifold fits on the engine in L225, L235, L245, L275, L295, L305, L2000 tractors.

What you need is something like this!
This one is off of a V2203 that was going to go in a jeep.
If anyone needs one of these give me a shout! ;)



Something like this is fairly cheap to get built.
