Doing a standard clutch repair is no issue until I find it has a DH850B "455cc" engine so the issue im having is locating a pilot bearing very limited information not knowing what equipment it was installed originally. Any help please.
The pilot bushing doesn't seat in the flywheel on these engines, it seats in the back of the crank. Is the bushing to small for the hole? Some wear out and the shaft wobbling around in there will make the hole larger in which you'll have to have a machine shop make you one or replace flywheel. I have several flywheels if you need one
I stand corrected. Sorry long day. Thank you @North Idaho Wolfman for correcting meThe pilot bushing doesn't seat in the flywheel on these engines, it seats in the back of the crank.
Worn pilot bushing hole is really difficult and costly to fix properly.
I've done a couple that I've used a boring bar rig on a running engine to over cut the hole larger and use a custom bushing, not a fun repair.
