b7610, started nicely, driving slowly and just died. all dash lights on, turned key and no starter. checked safety switches under the seat, jumped them with a wire and still no response when i turned the key. Did power wash it 2 hours before and it started and drove great. What am I missing? are there other safety switches?

I don't know the 7610, but multiple safety switches seem to be the norm. Seat, PTO, and maybe another.

I would check the fuses.

A safety interlock issue should not shut the tractor down once it is running.

On the BX it will - standing up while moving will shut it down quick like

My b7510 only shuts down for certain things normally it's a combination of the seat switch loosing contact and the pto or hydro pedal being moved. There is a few combinations for shut down, but I think it involves more then one switch in operation. It would be more likely you popped a fuse, but the starter and shut off solenoid are on different fuses. (I think). When I get home I can post the relevant pages of the manual so you can trouble shoot.

thanks for the advice and docs. i went through the check lists but found the solution by accident. When i bumped the lever for low/high speed getting onto the tractor it started up. A safety feature requires that the tractor be stopped to change the setting. New tractor for me and I need to learn all the features.
