So my shopping has turned up some interesting alternatives, on of which is a 2013 33 hp tractor with back hoe and loader and cab in Canada.

Anyone with experience in bringing a unit built for Canada to US? Safety systems and emissions are tow obvious issues. Import duty another.

Before you ask, the Canada version is MUCH less expensive - five figures.

One open question emailed to Kubota Canada is how will you handle transferring warranty admin for this serial number to the US system. Were it not for Tier IV emissions I would care but >>>>>>.

We don't have the same problems buying from Canada as we do other
countries, but I doubt that the warranty if any is remaining would be
transferable regardless. When I saw this I was immediately hoping you
lucked out and found a non tier 3/4 tractor to buy which would be very
awesome.
The difference you're seeing really is caused by the exchange rate on the
US versus CA dollar that recently made US worth more. Not sure how that
works anymore but being close to the border in Michigan I know many
played that game in years past both ways trying to save a buck however
they could. Used equipment is different and I don't think there's a surcharge
on that anyway were pretty free with our northern neighbors since NAFTA
took effect anyway

I see you posted about the cabs in the B series so I'll respond to that now.
My B3030 is a 2007 and I'm fairly sure it was available with cab 3-4 years
before that even. Ironic that I bought mine from your backyard in NC used where it was nearly half the price of new with only 150 hours on it. From
the horror stories I read about the tier 4 emissions you have to stick with
the B2650 to avoid the pitfalls that could possibly bring. If the 2650 doesn't have the power you figure you need I'd suggest you buy a used one that's big enough and avoid the problems with new and not take the
instant loss of value cause once you buy it it becomes used. A Kubota with
a few hundred hours on it that's been properly cared for and serviced is like
buying a newer used car from the little old lady that only drove hers to church and was never smoked in etc, virtually brand new.

And if I am not mistaken you will have to pay sales tax to your state after you try to get it back from Canada

Somewhere
If you're buying a 3350 from someone besides your local dealer, you better make sure your local dealer is willing to go to bat for you. There's a lot of instances where getting the machine somewhere cheaper, turns around to bite you when it comes time for service. Especially on a 3350.....

Well Kubota canada never responded before it was sold.

Too bad. Cab, backhoe, loader, 3rd had function in front, hydro for $24,600 US. But it's Tier 4 and not on my radar without warranty.
