I've read a lot of older posts about finding a replacement for a Husco 9210 controller. I have a B7400 with a Wood loader. Please bear in mind, when it comes to this hydraulic system, I'm dumber than dirt. Phrases like "Center Open/Closed" and "2 spools" etc, leaves me scratching my head. However, I have determined (I hope) that my controller is a 2 spool and is an open center.
With all that said, can someone suggest a Controller that would be a direct replacement?
Thanks --

You would be correct. 2 spool open center. 1 spool does the boom up and down and the other spool does the bucket curl function. Open center means fluid is basically just passing thru when both spools are closed. Many out there. I personally like the chief 220957 valve. Good quality valve for reasonable money. Will also need the 220842 power beyond valve. Direct swap other than you may have to get a few fittings depending on what your valve currently has

Thanks for the quick reply. What does the 220842 power beyond valve do? I looked it up and I assume it goes into one of the line inlet/outlet.
If I order these 2 items, Can I assume it's all a direct replacement?
Thanks

The sleeve goes in the N (neutral) port and separates tank return flow from the neutral power beyond flow. Probably beyond your current pay grade.

None of the valves listed are true functional equivalents. The Husco is a series valve and the others are parallel. I suspect your vslve also has regeneratuve extend on the bucket spool Finding a series valve with joystick control is going to be expensive - $500-$600. Add a hundred or so for regen. You will probably never realize the difference and probably not worth the added expense.

Pretty much a plug and play swap. You may need to drill new mounting holes and purchase a few (cheap) hydraulic adapters to hook in the hoses.
