Hi All;
I currently have a 3ph snowblower on my B2650HSDC. the blower came with a Hydraulic chute rotation and a manual deflector. Last year I modded the deflector with a linear actuator, work well but gave up this year.

I would like to convert the chute deflector to hydraulic, Kubota BL2666a is a kit that I can purchase, it is fairly expensive and I believe there is an electric switch involved to switch between the rotation and deflection (??)

I currently have one read remote installed to control rotation. I would like to install a second remote (there is room for it) to control the deflection. I'm able to rig and weld the brackets to the chute.

My question is; Is this possible? Has anyone done this? Any problems with the install or operation?

Thanks for any help.

Cheers.

My blower has hydraulic rotation and deflector. It is a front mount.
The kit is the same sort of thing that is used for the 3 Rd function on the loader.
There is a button on the loader handle that operates the 3rd function
Pushing the button switches between the rotation and deflector. The button controls a hydraulic valve which is like a splitter and switches it from one output to another.
It all works off of one set of hydraulic lines so I would think that although the kit for the rear would be different the operation would be the same. It works pretty slick and at pto speed is operated very quick.

Thanks for the reply Onsiteman. Is the selector button mounted on the control. When I'm snowblowing, i tend to keep my hand on the lever, i would be good with the kit if the button is able to be mounted on the lever.

I have the hydraulic deflection on my BX1880. There is an electric switch which is installed onto the loader control lever. You hold the switch and move the lever to one side and the deflector goes up. The other side, the deflector goes down. The hydraulic diverter is installed on the snowblower itself, not on the tractor -- its not the same as a 3rd function kit.

I ordered mine from the dealer when I bought the tractor. Its possible there are hydraulic kits that work other ways -- just ask before you buy it.

I am happy with the way it works, its pretty straight forward. My wife is able to use it with no complaints. And yes, the hydraulic options were very expensive but I begrudgingly paid for it because it does have very high ease of use and over the long haul both my wife and I will be glad we have it.

Now.. if only I had bought a cab!
