What did you have for your holiday dinner?

Wife and I did a repeat of our Thanksgiving dinner. Had three turkeys in the freezer

We inject the turkey with creole garlic butter. Then bake in a baking bag. Comes out so juicy that there isn't any carving. It just falls apart :D It makes it a challenge to get out of the baking pan and onto the platter though.

Homemade mac and cheese made with cabot black label extra sharp cheddar. The folks up in the north east know what I'm taking about. :D

Green beans casserole, sweet potato casserole, mashed taters with gravy made from the turkey drippings, 7 layer salad, and homemade corn bread stuffing.

Then desert, we are having apple crisp, cheese cake, and mom made up a batch of dirt (chocolate pudding, cream cheese, gummy worms, and oreos, served in a pot complete with a fake flower).

We also have cheese dip, Fiesta dip, and chips, weiney's and meat balls in bbq sauce :D

Dinners at 6 tonight, with everyone in a food coma by 7 :D

I am on a drill ship in the Gulf of Mexico and we had: Lobster, prime rib, turkey, dressing, all of the usual sides, salad bar, and more cakes, pies, and deserts than you could imagine! Whew! Ed B

Our dinner is tomorrow. The wife and brother in law are making 2 rib roasts and all the fixin's for around 30 of us at our house. I'll be in the shop, trying to stay out of the way, with the miller lite, sauza, and a few good cigars finishing up the welding on the new gates/ramps for the deck over trailer.

Greetings from the Pend Oreille Valley. Lots of snow here and the turkeys think I plow just for them. They are within range....of the porch broom. A pair of moose wandered through a couple of days ago. Needless to say I had a pork roast and all the trimmings.

Just me and granny this year. Our son and all the grand kids live a quite a ways from us. The roads are so crappy with snow, no one wanted to travel. This is the first time in 55 years it's been just the two of us on Xmas.

We fixed a small turkey with dressing, mashed taters, turkey gravy, sweet taters, creamed peas, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.

Happy holidays to all

We always do Christmas with the in-laws. They're Slovak/Croation, so a very traditional Christmas dinner. (for them)
Ham, pig-in-a-blanket, potato salad, large plate of veggies, (carrots, radishes, olives, dill & sweet pickles, & baby onions), cooked sweet potatoes, and a couple different "fruit salads". (blueberries, strawberries, coconut shreds, sour cream, & small marshmallows)
Desert is homemade wedding cookies, bird's nest cookies, and traditional kolachki cookies with plum butter or walnut filling.
Good stuff, but I miss Christmas turkey.

Three of my sons were over, along with one son's wife and two daughters. As is our tradition, we had a grazing table - no formal sit-down dinner. We had a big vat of Italian spiced beef with lots of rolls and fixings, shrimp, and sides. My wife and I are both not feeling great, so we we just took it easy.

Just the two of us this year, didn't feel like traveling south and dealing with traffic, and travelers. Had a wonderful Prime Rib, twice baked potatoes, home made pies. I know I'll enjoy leftovers for lunch today

We had turkey. Smoked in a homemade smoker that came from the landfill, using natural hickory wood soaked in pond water.

No, seriously. Thats what we had. That and the fixin's to go with it. Pies, cornbread stuffing, taters & gravy, etc.

Was going to have ham, and I had one in the freezer but I decided to use the turkey instead. Gave the ham to our new neighbor who is muslim. I didn't know they was muslim until after I gave them the ham. I tried to do good but some people just don't know how to appreciate it.
