What did you have for your holiday dinner?
Wife and I did a repeat of our Thanksgiving dinner. Had three turkeys in the freezer
We inject the turkey with creole garlic butter. Then bake in a baking bag. Comes out so juicy that there isn't any carving. It just falls apart It makes it a challenge to get out of the baking pan and onto the platter though.
Homemade mac and cheese made with cabot black label extra sharp cheddar. The folks up in the north east know what I'm taking about.
Green beans casserole, sweet potato casserole, mashed taters with gravy made from the turkey drippings, 7 layer salad, and homemade corn bread stuffing.
Then desert, we are having apple crisp, cheese cake, and mom made up a batch of dirt (chocolate pudding, cream cheese, gummy worms, and oreos, served in a pot complete with a fake flower).
We also have cheese dip, Fiesta dip, and chips, weiney's and meat balls in bbq sauce
Dinners at 6 tonight, with everyone in a food coma by 7
