Hi there,
I'm a new here and I'm just about to hand over my hard earned cash for a Kubota tractor. The trouble is I'm having second thoughts about what I'm buying. I'll explain, I'm buying a used Bulltra B1-15 (I'm in France). I've put a deposit down but since then I'm doubting what I'm actually buying.
It is from a tractor dealer, they fix and repair them at the premis as well as sell new tractors. It comes with a 1 year parts guarantee.
I was told by the sales man that the B1-15 is a 18hp, but when I look on line all I can find is that it is 15hp. Does the 15 in the tractor number represent the hp?
I was also told it is a 4 wheel drive, is there any way I can find out on the tractor if it is a 4 wd and not a 2 wd?
If anyone out there can give me anymore information I would be very grateful. I have checked out the site that people recommend on here with the tractor specs and this is why I'm doubting what I've been told.
Many thanks in advance

Tractor data has it at 15 HP "AT THE PTO" so the engine would be a few more so 18 may be at the engine. See this link.

Most Kubota tractors come in 2WD or 4WD variants. The 2WD models are F as in L185F while the 4WD would be L185DT - See this article on the variant letter descriptions.

You can usually look at a tractor and see if it is 2WD or 4WD by tell tell signs like - do the front tires look like they are made to get traction - similar to the rear tires? Is there a lever that has indication of 2WD or 4WD position, is there a differential on the front axle (large spherical bulge near the center of the front axle)? Have the dealer put it in 2WD and 4WD to show how it is done.

You really need to know if it is gray market or not - in America it appears that it is - but I have no idea if it is in France. See this Kubota USA website that lists it as gray market. I assume there may be a Kubota France web site that has similar information. In the USA the gray market tractor is not sold through a Kubota (new tractor) dealer. If yours is at a Kubota dealer - then ask them directly if you can see the parts listing for that tractor on their computer. The USA dealer can not find that model on their computer.
