I am considering trying to beef up my l3000 dt a little by adding an FEL and larger tires.

It came with 7-16 fronts and 11.2x24 rear.

I am thinking about going to a 13.6x24 rear. (All ag) and maybe an 8-16 front.

I assume that ratio of the 13.6x24 and the 8-16 will work because that was on a DK40 I looked at recentlY

Will I see any reduction in performance or possible extra wear on the tractor? Other issues I’m not thinking of?

Thanks in advance
.

Don't compare another companies tractor tire sizes and say just because they do it you can do it.

What are you hoping to gain by putting larger tires on it, besides draining your pocket book?

Right- I wasn’t thinking about the fact the other mfgr gear ratio may be different. Thanks for that.

What I’m hoping to gain is superficial. I want the tractor to look bigger. I think the tires on it look to small. And it’s a solid tractor but because it’s a bit older I can’t sell or trade it for enough to make it where I can buy something new

Just get the FEL skip the tires the ones on it will get better traction on a machine that size and weight anyway.
