GST vs HST service question

I've got a 3430 GST with 200 hours on it. In the manual, at 200 hours, it calls for the following (exactly how it is written in the service manual):

1. Engine oil change. Makes sense.

2. Engine oil filter replace. Check.

3. Hydraulic oil filter replace. Makes sense, but what about replacing the hydraulic oil itself?

4. Transmission oil filter (HST). Not applicable for the GST is my guess although it is not specifically called out.

5. Transmission fluid change at 400 hours. It doesn't call out HST specifically as in item 4 above, but I'm guessing this is HST specific as well, right?

So my questions are: is there no specific hydraulic oil to change? Also, does the GST have seperate transmission fluid like the HST.

Thanks for any help. I'm obviously new to tractoring.

It was purchased on 5/21/2004 (model L3430GST-F). The serial # is 32543.

Kubota says follow the following general procedure for your GST which doesn't have a HST filter because you don't have hydraulic shuttle. Change the Hydraulic oil filter at 400 hours with a complete fluid change and every 400 hours from there after.

Changing Transmission Fluid / Replacing Hydraulic Oil Filter

Take drain plugs (number of drain plugs varies according to model) out of the bottom of the transmission case

Drain oil

Put drain plugs back in

Apply a small amount of clean transmission oil to the rubber seal of the new filter

Tighten filter quickly until it touches the mounting surface

Tighten filter an additional turn

Refill transmission oil after filter has been replaced

Run engine for a few minutes, stop engine, and refill transmission oil as needed

Check seal of filter for leaks. Pretty straight forward maintenance remembering these facts...
Replace transmission fluid / hydraulic oil filter after every 400 hours of operation

Do not operate equipment immediately after changing the transmission fluid. Run engine at medium speed for a few minutes prior to use. At 200 hours just check your current hydraulic fluid level and top off it needed. You are good to go for another 200 hours under normal operating conditions.
