Greatings everyone from newbe looking for some advice. I just bought a GF1800 vintage 1995 and have problems with the PTO cutting out intermittently. I did several searches and there is mention of a sprag clutch causing the problem.
It is definately an internal or hydraulic problem and not electric - there are no pinched hoses - if the PTO is engaged and you get off the seat, the engine shut off solenoid kills the engine, not the PTO.
It looks to be fairly straight forward to take apart but has anyone done this and what are the parts that typically need to be replaced?
