I just changed the front axle oil in my 2008 L3130 with 4-wheel drive and found that it only had about 3 Qts of oil in it. I let it drain for almost 20hrs and nothing more was coming out. When I started to refill it with the recommended 6.9 Qts I got flow out of the check port after about 3 Qts. I waited a bit and was able to add more. This when on for a while-fill wait, fill-wait. Finally I decided to plug the check port and add the full amount stated in the service manual. It has now been over 24hrs and the oil is still above the check plug. Should I take it for a short ride to see if more oil moves down or is the spec wrong? One more note, the tractor is sitting on a level cement pad.
